| Affiliation and Networking |

Until November 2003,TRALSO had been an active affiliate of the Rural Development Services Network (RDSN),
a Network of NGOs facilitating rural development initiatives in the country. TRALSO still continues to have strong ties with RDSN on issues of national interest.
Through programmes of national Networks such as the NLC and RDSN, TRALSO engages in joint lobbying and advocacy activities
with other strategic partners on various development issues. Training, sharing of experience and information is undertaken to improve
the service delivery of the organisation.
TRALSO is also an affiliate of the Eastern Cape NGO Coalition and subscribes
to SANGOCO's code of conduct. At national level, TRALSO maintains linkages with
various government departments and institutions such as the Regional Land Claims
Commission, Department of Land Affairs, Dept of Health and Department of Environmental
Affairs,and Food and Trees for Africa.TRALSO has recently applied for re-affiliation to the the National
Land Committee (NLC)having been out of the NLC for 4 years. July 2004 marks TRALSO's resumption of its full membership status in the NLC Network.
On a local front, TRALSO works with local based organisations such as the local affiliates of TCOE e.g. Cala University Student's Association (CALUSA) and Masifunde, Eastern Cape Agricultural Research Project (ECARP)O.R. Tambo's Ntinga Development Agency, Eastern Cape Appropriate
Technology Unit (ECATU), Catholic Development, Centre (CDC), the Rural Research
development Institute based at the University of Transkei, ECDC,the Regional Land Claims Commission (RLCC) and Department of Land Affairs.
TRALSO is also a network member of the Farm Radio Network (formerly Developing
Countries Farm Radio Network) a Canadian and Toronto based organisation serving
radio broadcasters in developing countries. TRALSO has in the past participated
in some of DCFRN's strategic planning processes.
